Compliance Manager

About the role

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking a Compliance Manager in Hong Kong to lead compliance advisory and risk oversight across its Life and General Insurance activities, ensuring regulatory standards and customer outcomes are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide compliance advisory and conduct risk oversight for Life and General Insurance activities across the customer lifecycle.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate regulatory and customer conduct risks.
• Support implementation and enhancement of conduct risk framework, controls and monitoring programs.
• Advise on sales and distribution initiatives, intermediary governance, licensing and sales practices.
• Support investigations, regulatory reporting and remediation relating to conduct issues or regulatory breaches.
• Review major customer complaints and ensure fair, compliant and effective resolution processes.
• Provide compliance guidance on product disclosure, policy servicing, claims, digital platforms and AI transformation initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of new requirements.
• Assist with regulatory enquiries, inspections, audits and governance reporting.
• Conduct compliance assessments and prepare management information and committee reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance, regulatory advisory, conduct risk, risk management or insurance operations.
• Strong experience within the Hong Kong insurance industry, ideally across both Life and General Insurance businesses.
• In‑depth knowledge of Hong Kong insurance regulations, conduct standards and fair customer outcome principles.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and associated compliance risks.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, assess risks and recommend balanced solutions.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI‑enabled tools and digital technologies to enhance efficiency and generate insights.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
