Consultant – Life Solutions (Insurance Modeling)

About the role

Aon Life Solutions is seeking a Consultant to join its Reinsurance Strategy and Technology Group in Hong Kong. The role focuses on developing and maintaining insurance liability, financial asset and asset‑liability management models for life insurers operating in Hong Kong and Singapore. You will work closely with clients to deliver innovative solutions and support the adoption of the PathWise platform.

Key responsibilities

• Create insurance liability models for reserve and capital calculations in line with local Risk‑Based Capital regulations and IFRS 17.
• Develop and maintain financial asset and ALM models for balance‑sheet projections.
• Build and calibrate Economic Scenario Generators used in valuation of insurance liabilities.
• Support client onboarding to PathWise, providing training, reference materials and troubleshooting migration issues.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships as a primary contact for selected accounts.
• Participate in business development activities, including demos, custom model development, research projects and conference presentations.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of experience in life insurance valuation, pricing or hedging roles.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong and Singapore reserve and capital requirements, including products such as indexed and variable annuities.
• Understanding of financial assets, derivatives and Monte Carlo simulation techniques.
• Familiarity with object‑oriented programming concepts; Python experience preferred.
• Membership of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries is a plus.
