Data Engineer (Data Integration)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer specialized in data integration to design, develop and maintain scalable ingestion pipelines that feed our modern data platform. The role will collaborate with business stakeholders, source system owners and technology teams to ensure data is reliably moved, transformed and made available for analytics and operational use.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources such as POS systems, ERP platforms, APIs, databases, cloud storage and third‑party applications.
• Work with business and technical partners to gather source system structures, data requirements and integration specifications.
• Implement, monitor and support batch, streaming and near‑real‑time workflows, focusing on performance, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Maintain source connectivity, mappings, metadata and lineage documentation to support governance and discoverability.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of integration issues and apply corrective and preventive measures.
• Continuously improve integration frameworks, processes and operational efficiency while adhering to security and engineering standards.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience building scalable data ingestion and integration pipelines.
• Strong understanding of modern data integration patterns and architectures.
• Proven ability to work with multiple source types, including relational and NoSQL databases, APIs, flat files, cloud storage and ERP systems.
• Experience with ETL/ELT design, schema evolution, error handling and orchestration.
• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills for data quality and performance issues.
