Demi Chef de Partie – Kitchen

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join the Tosca di Angelo Kitchen at our prestigious property in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Chef, you will help deliver high‑quality dishes while supporting the culinary team during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Control the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and manage food thawing from freezer to refrigerator.
• Maintain portion control, food garnish, and accurate food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials, and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating team members as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, report maintenance issues and ensure a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in a hotel or fine‑dining kitchen.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work long periods standing, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.

Required skills

• Operation of kitchen equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Food preparation, cooking and cold‑food plating according to standardized recipes.
• Food safety, hygiene practices and accurate food logging.
