Deskside Technician II

About the role

Stefanini is seeking a Deskside Technician II to provide on‑site hardware support and service desk assistance for enterprise clients. The role involves rapid troubleshooting, hardware replacement, and inventory management across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues on end‑user devices, including urgent break/fix replacements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lifecycle management of hardware assets.
• Utilize ServiceNow for ticket creation, queue management, and follow‑up.
• Escalate unresolved tickets to higher‑level support or third‑party vendors.
• Support critical projects that require high‑touch user interaction.
• Maintain comprehensive site hardware asset and consumable inventories.
• Manage spare‑part and loaner pools, and support IMACR/D requests.
• Coordinate OEM warranty repairs and escort OEM technicians when needed.
• Assist with physical incidents related to network, datacenter, and other client‑requested activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of multiple hardware manufacturers and operating systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Clear communication of technical information to technical audiences.
• Self‑motivated with a customer‑oriented attitude.
• Willingness to travel locally and in‑state, with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if travel is required.
• Physical capability to walk, bend and lift equipment up to 50 lb.
