DevOps Engineer – AWS & Kubernetes

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a leading global investment manager’s technology team in Hong Kong. You will collaborate with software engineering, trading platform, and market access teams to build and enhance the infrastructure, deployment tooling, and engineering platforms that support a sophisticated global trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain platform infrastructure and development tooling.
• Create, automate, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Manage deployments, upgrades, and migrations across hybrid on‑premise and AWS environments.
• Work extensively with Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
• Develop self‑service tooling, APIs, and automation to reduce operational overhead.
• Partner with software engineers to improve production readiness and engineering standards.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational processes.
• Help establish DevOps standards and best practices across engineering teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience operating hybrid infrastructure spanning on‑premise and AWS.
• Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, ideally AWS EKS.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, networking, and load balancing.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Good Python fundamentals and a problem‑solving mindset.
• Strong Linux and/or Windows scripting abilities.
• Experience with Git and mature CI/CD environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with engineering teams.
