Director, Digitization & Automation, GWAM & GA Asia Operations

About the role

The Director, Digitization & Automation, GWAM & GA Asia Operations drives the identification, design and delivery of scalable digitization, automation and digital solutions across the business, with a strong customer and operational lens. The role blends automation-led transformation with data-driven insights and digital enablement to deliver measurable outcomes across highly matrixed, global operations. It is a highly visible position requiring a collaborative, transparent person who can create and communicate a vision and drive change through relationships and thought leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Drive demand for and delivery of digitization, automation and business intelligence solutions in partnership with key stakeholders
• Define and govern the right data and digital tools to solve business problems at scale
• Lead process redesign and transformation, reducing customer and employee effort while improving quality, speed and resilience
• Own process assessment and intake, including suitability evaluation, cost/benefit analysis, prioritization and resourcing
• Build and lead a high-energy team delivering automation, digitization and digital solutions at scale
• Increase the volume and velocity of automation delivery, driving efficiency, capacity creation and operational risk mitigation
• Provide end-to-end engagement management, including executive communications and delivery oversight

Required profile

• University degree and/or equivalent practical experience
• Previous experience managing or overseeing automation and AI at scale in complex environments
• Proven effectiveness as a change agent in complex operational environments
• Financial acumen, including experience managing costs and articulating benefits
• Able to lead and influence change, break down complex cases and recommend and implement solutions
• Comfortable working in a matrixed, geographically dispersed team and communicating with executives and frontline staff

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of AI, automation and digital tools, including the Microsoft stack such as Power Platform and Azure
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, judgment and decision-making skills
• Organized, self-directed and able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives

Preferred: hands-on entrepreneurial leadership, technical proficiency, strong customer and business orientation, and strong team management. Working arrangement is hybrid.
