Director, Sales / Business Development

About the role

The Director, Sales & Business Development leads the formulation and execution of sales strategies for HKDL’s vacation and leisure business across Hong Kong and international markets. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the incumbent drives sustainable growth through all distribution partners and channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end sales strategies, product development and account optimisation across all HKDL sales channels.
• Lead a multicultural sales and business development team covering China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia.
• Manage diversified distribution channels including digital Direct‑to‑Consumer, e‑commerce platforms, OTAs, travel agencies and local distributors.
• Own channel marketing promotions, partner education, market intelligence and resource allocation.
• Drive digital transformation by formulating territory‑wide e‑commerce strategies and building partnerships with key e‑platforms.
• Maintain C‑level relationships within the global travel ecosystem to identify risks and new growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue Management and IT/Data teams to co‑create go‑to‑market plans.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience in tourism, hospitality or related industries.
• Strong track record of driving revenue growth across multiple geographic markets.
• Ability to lead and align multicultural, regionally dispersed teams.
• Analytical mindset with experience in business analysis and channel optimisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and C‑level networking skills.
