Equestrian Assistant – Pokfulam Public Riding School

About the role

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an enthusiastic Equestrian Assistant to support daily operations at the Pok Fu Lam Public Riding School. You will work closely with the stable team to ensure horses receive proper care and that the facility remains safe and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Perform horse grooming, including brushing, bathing, and tack preparation.
• Organise and maintain equestrian equipment and supplies.
• Clean stables, aisles, and surrounding areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist with the set‑up and execution of equestrian competitions and event programmes.
• Carry out miscellaneous tasks assigned by the supervisor, such as moving horses or handling feed.

Required profile

• Minimum education level: Form 3 or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in horse care, stable operations, or a related field.
• Holding a valid driver’s licence or a first‑aid certificate will be given priority.

Required skills

• Ability to handle and care for horses safely.
• Knowledge of stable hygiene, equipment maintenance, and basic equestrian procedures.
