Equity Research Coach – Global Software & SaaS

About the role

BroadCareer is looking for an experienced equity research professional to coach aspiring buy‑side analysts on global software and SaaS equities, primarily U.S. listed. The position is focused on teaching the full research process rather than managing a portfolio, helping learners build rigorous, repeatable frameworks and clear communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teaching and coaching sessions covering industry mapping, business‑model analysis, unit economics, KPI selection, financial modelling, valuation, thesis development, catalysts and risk assessment.
• Provide detailed feedback on learners’ financial models, research reports, earnings analyses and stock pitches.
• Facilitate case‑based discussions and investment‑committee‑style presentations.
• Continuously develop and improve teaching materials, assignments and assessment frameworks while ensuring compliance with confidentiality and IP rules.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional long/short equity research experience, with a focus on global software or SaaS companies.
• Strong familiarity with U.S. equities; hedge‑fund experience and prior responsibility for a sector book are strongly preferred.
• Native or near‑native Mandarin proficiency and ability to work fluently with English‑language company filings.
• Excellent communication, mentoring and feedback abilities; prior teaching or coaching experience is a plus.
