Facilities Assistant – School Campus Support

About the role

The German Swiss International School is seeking a Facilities Assistant to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for students and staff across its campuses. The role involves routine campus patrols, event setup, minor repairs, and supporting security and traffic control. Flexible working hours are offered, with occasional evening work compensated by overtime pay or time in lieu.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle event venues, including furniture, signage, and equipment.
• Conduct routine campus patrols to identify building defects, safety hazards, and cleaning needs.
• Control traffic flow and enforce road safety on campus grounds.
• Prepare and review CCTV footage when required.
• Perform minor repairs and handy work.
• Deliver parcels and items safely within the campus.
• Water and maintain campus plants.
• Escort delivery personnel and contractors as needed.
• Maintain storerooms, create storage lists, and keep them tidy.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or higher.
• Basic English communication skills; Chinese input ability is a plus.
• Security background or experience in a control room is highly desirable.
• Experience in property management or customer service is advantageous.
• Physical and mental fitness to handle the duties.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
