Finance Business Partner

About the role

JD.com is seeking a Finance Business Partner to drive financial planning, performance analysis, and investment evaluation for its innovative retail portfolio. The role will partner closely with retail leadership and cross‑functional teams to embed financial discipline into daily commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget exercise, quarterly rolling forecasts and long‑term business planning for the retail portfolio.
• Track budget execution, perform in‑depth variance analysis, identify root causes and propose actionable improvement plans.
• Own monthly management reporting, business review packs and monitor core KPIs such as GMV, gross margin, store‑level unit economics, inventory turnover, marketing ROI, occupancy cost and labour efficiency.
• Conduct deep‑dive profitability analysis across channels, categories, stores and promotions to uncover risks and growth opportunities.
• Build financial models to assess feasibility of new retail initiatives – store openings, pop‑up shops, brand collaborations, marketing campaigns and new retail model trials – and support post‑launch performance tracking.
• Partner with retail leadership, store operations, merchandising and marketing teams to embed financial discipline into daily commercial decisions.
