Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager - ESG Reporting

About the role

Johnson Electric is looking for a Finance Manager (or Assistant Finance Manager) to join its finance team in Hong Kong. The role oversees financial reporting and drives initiatives to strengthen governance and compliance with related regulations, including ESG reporting, and covers special projects. It suits a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills and a passion for sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage accurate, timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, interim and annual results announcements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies
• Handle group consolidation and analyse financial data to advise senior management
• Monitor and report governance policy and KPIs in the annual report or ESG report
• Keep up to date with ESG trends and regulations, such as climate risk assessment, to meet finance-related ESG reporting requirements
• Manage finance-related special projects, including process improvements, system implementations and M&A initiatives, and support ad hoc projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field; CPA/CA or equivalent preferred
• 5-8 years of experience in financial reporting and related fields
• Proven experience preparing board papers and annual reports
• Experience driving ESG initiatives or reporting preferred; Big Four audit experience is an advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial reporting standards (HK Listing Rules, IFRS, GAAP)
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, IFRS S2) preferred
• Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis and ERP systems
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and financial software
• Communication, presentation, project management and analytical skills
