Finance Manager – Crypto Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager with strong accounting fundamentals and hands‑on experience in crypto and blockchain transactions. The role is execution‑focused, responsible for processing, reconciling and reporting digital‑asset activity while supporting the growth of our Web3 operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform transaction matching, wallet‑to‑ledger reconciliations and resolve reconciling items for digital‑asset holdings.
• Prepare and post journal entries for token receipts, swaps, staking rewards, gas fees, DeFi yield and impairments in accordance with IFRS.
• Produce ad‑hoc financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) for crypto‑native entities.
• Compile digital‑asset schedules, accruals and supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual close.
• Streamline month‑end close processes, improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Support crypto accounting system implementation through testing, data migration validation and workflow documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal and Operations to translate crypto transaction flows into finance‑ready processes.
• Respond to audit requests and prepare documentation for crypto‑related balances and transactions.
• Monitor regulatory, tax and IFRS developments affecting crypto assets.

Required profile

• Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles as applied to crypto assets.
• Working knowledge of crypto transaction flows, wallets, exchanges and DeFi protocols.
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills with ability to handle large volumes of data.
• Experience supporting finance/ERP or crypto‑accounting system implementations.
