Finance Manager – General Ledger

About the role

The Finance Manager (General Ledger) will join the Corporate Accounting team to ensure high‑quality statutory accounting and reporting for the Club’s subsidiaries and the Trust. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Manager, Finance, the role provides advisory, ledger, and reporting support to business units while driving process and system improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accounting advisory, general ledger accounting, period‑end book closing, financial reporting, account reconciliation and analytical review for business units.
• Advise new businesses and partnerships on appropriate accounting treatment, develop procedures and enhance system workflows to meet statutory requirements.
• Handle full sets of accounts for assigned companies, including profits tax computation, filing, preparation of statutory financial statements and monthly management accounts, and supervise accounting work of other entities as needed.
• Drive process improvements and support system enhancement projects, including requirements review, user acceptance testing and implementation of accounting‑related controls and workflows.
• Support preparation of entity‑level and Group statutory financial statements and coordinate the Club’s Annual Report under tight timelines.
• Stay current on financial reporting standards, profits tax rules and related guidance, conducting research when required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in statutory accounting and reporting for subsidiaries.
• Proven ability to manage full set of accounts, tax computation and filing.
• Experience supervising accounting work across multiple entities.
