Fitness Instructor

About the role

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a Fitness Instructor to guide members and guests through safe and effective exercise routines. You will help clients achieve their health and fitness goals while ensuring a safe environment within the Club’s fitness facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients on proper exercising techniques, body alignment, and injury‑prevention strategies.
• Observe, communicate feedback, and motivate clients to improve performance.
• Assist clients in setting realistic fitness goals based on their current abilities.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, report incidents, and maintain accurate incident reports.
• Keep the gym clean, organized, and equipment in safe working condition; report maintenance needs.
• Provide first‑aid, wrap injuries, treat minor conditions, and refer clients to medical professionals when required.
• Stay updated on the latest fitness training methods and incorporate them into client programs.
• Collaborate with managers to develop marketing strategies and expand fitness services.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a fitness professional.
• Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM, AFAA, NASM, ISSA, or ACE).
• Valid CPR and AED certification.
• Fluency in English.
