Fund Accountant

About the role

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for preparing NAV calculations, financial reports and maintaining the accounting records for private equity funds. You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accurate fund operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual NAV calculations and related financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger, capital accounts and fund accounting records.
• Process capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest and other fund transactions.
• Coordinate with external administrators, custodians, auditors and tax advisors.
• Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Support portfolio valuation, investment schedule maintenance and cash reconciliation.
• Produce investor reports, including capital account statements and performance reports.
• Participate in fund launches, closings and finance process improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of fund accounting experience in private equity, asset management or related financial services.
• Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls and partnership accounting.
• Familiarity with IFRS, HKFRS, US GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with fund accounting systems such as Investran, eFront or Yardi.
