General Attendant – Sha Tin Racecourse

About the role

The General Attendant supports the Property Department by ensuring the Grandstands at Sha Tin Racecourse are clean, safe and welcoming for visitors and staff. This position involves routine cleaning duties as well as heightened responsibilities on race days.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks throughout the Grandstands, including toilets, betting hall, restaurants, offices, walkways, forecourt and car park.
• Maintain cleanliness standards during race days, adapting to shift patterns and increased visitor traffic.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facilities team.
• Assist with occasional special events or temporary cleaning projects as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a cleaning or custodial role.
• Basic proficiency in speaking and writing Chinese.
• Ability to work flexible shift schedules, including weekends and race days.

Required skills

• Cleaning and custodial techniques.
• Basic Chinese language skills.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures.
