General Ledger Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS), and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities. The role involves handling expense, revenue, inter‑company transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting adjustments in line with HKFRS and company policies.
• Enter expense, revenue, and inter‑company transaction data, and conduct account reconciliations.
• Manage account reconciliation for domestic and overseas entities, resolve cross‑border discrepancies, and ensure data consistency.
• Verify invoices, maintain accounts receivable/payable ledgers, monitor outstanding payments, and assist with debt collection.
• Support external audits, organize tax data, and assist with tax declarations and filings.
• Track monthly budget implementation, calculate variances, and help prepare annual budget data.
• Prepare basic financial statements and statistical reports as required by supervisors and the group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Junior Accountant title preferred.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in financial accounting, with full‑cycle accounting knowledge.
• Experience with Hong Kong accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus.
• Experience in the payment industry or cross‑border corporate finance is advantageous, though training is available.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong Mandarin and Cantonese language skills; basic English reading and writing.
• Attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, and strong execution ability.
