Golang Developer – High‑Throughput Backend Services

About the role

We are looking for a Golang Developer to design, build and maintain scalable backend services for a top‑tier global buy‑side institution. You will work on high‑throughput, performance‑sensitive systems that support trading, portfolio and risk workflows, data services and internal platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang).
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, internal services and event‑driven processing components.
• Build systems that meet strict latency, throughput and resilience requirements.
• Integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues and streaming platforms.
• Improve observability through logging, metrics and tracing, and support production operations.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews and engineering standards.
• Take part in agile delivery, estimation and release activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement via automation and tooling.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building production backend systems in Golang (or willingness to learn Go quickly).
• Strong understanding of concurrency, networking, memory/performance considerations and clean architecture.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and event‑driven design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and at least one NoSQL technology.
• Working knowledge of Linux and common tooling for building, deploying and debugging services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with observability tooling and debugging production systems.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and collaborative skills.
