Head Floor Supervisor

About the role

The Head Floor Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and pool facilities meet Marriott’s high quality standards after cleaning. Working closely with housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry teams, the supervisor coordinates daily operations and supports a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning tasks and update departing‑room status.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare, distribute and communicate changes in room assignments; hand over issues to the next shift.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and coaching staff.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report maintenance problems, hazards or accidents.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets and uphold guest service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related housekeeping or hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Basic computer operation for entering and locating work‑related information.
• Physical ability to lift, move and carry objects up to 55 lb (with assistance for heavier items) and operate housekeeping carts on uneven surfaces.
• Strong verbal communication in clear, professional language.
