Head of Construction – MEP (Hotel Projects)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to head MEP construction for a landmark high‑rise hotel project in the Middle East. Based in Hong Kong or Mainland China, you will act as the critical bridge between Chinese manufacturers and the on‑site execution team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pre‑qualify and manage premium China‑based MEP manufacturers, overseeing production orders, quality control and milestone payments.
• Translate complex on‑site field issues into clear technical directives for suppliers to ensure rapid resolution.
• Champion next‑generation construction technologies such as drones, robotics and automation to improve high‑rise building efficiency.
• Lead technical compliance, sourcing and logistics for critical systems including HVAC, air‑conditioning, water‑treatment, plumbing and fire‑protection equipment.
• Provide remote technical support, coordinate customs clearance and oversee installation of imported systems by the Middle East site team.

Required profile

• 20+ years progressive leadership in MEP construction, with a proven track record in the Chinese high‑rise hotel market.
• Strong background in high‑rise building services and hands‑on experience integrating robotics, drones or automated tools on active sites.
• Extensive network of trusted MEP vendors and suppliers across Mainland China.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, willingness to be based in Hong Kong or China and travel regionally for site inspections and audits.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
