Head Storekeeper (Catering Logistics)

About the role

The Head Storekeeper (Catering Logistics) oversees the daily operations of the catering store and receiving counters, ensuring inventory accuracy, food safety, and occupational health compliance. Reporting to the Manager of Catering Logistics, this role leads a team to maintain efficient, safe, and hygienic store environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the manager in monitoring all daily activities of the catering store and receiving counters.
• Optimize the use of store resources and ensure economical operations.
• Spot‑check the work, records, and documents of storekeepers and helpers.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal users, preparing stock reports as needed.
• Initiate and implement improvements to operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and duty‑roster reports for the Stores Supervisor.
• Perform routine and ad‑hoc tasks assigned by senior supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, tidy workspace and enforce HACCP procedures.
• Support safety management programmes and recommend enhancements for health, safety, and food safety.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduate or higher.
• At least 5 years of experience in storekeeping or catering logistics (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of food hygiene standards, HACCP or ISO 22000 (preferred).
• Good spoken and written English and Chinese.
