Industry Principal Architect, Web3

About the role

Google Cloud is seeking an Industry Principal Architect to lead its most strategic Web3 engagements across the APAC region. You will act as the executive technical authority, guiding protocol foundations, institutional exchanges, and high‑growth decentralized applications through complex architectural decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between C‑level customers and Google Cloud product and engineering teams.
• Design and champion reference architectures that address common friction points in Web3, blockchain, and digital‑asset deployments.
• Influence Google Cloud’s Web3 product roadmap by providing feedback from enterprise and institutional use cases.
• Collaborate with customers to deploy high‑availability, low‑latency blockchain node infrastructure, validator networks, and indexing layers on Kubernetes/GKE.
• Lead technical workshops, security reviews, and protocol audits for large‑scale Web3 solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in system architecture, distributed systems design, or cloud infrastructure in an enterprise or technical leadership role.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience architecting production‑grade Web3 systems, blockchain protocols, or smart‑contract ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience with institutional digital‑asset infrastructure, including MPC, hardware security modules, and confidential computing.

Required skills

• EVM‑compatible Layer 1/Layer 2, Solana, Move, Cosmos blockchain protocols.
• Multi‑Party Computation (MPC), Cloud HSM, transaction‑signing architectures.
• Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), high‑availability node and validator deployment.
• Zero‑Knowledge (ZK) infrastructure, rollup architectures, cross‑chain messaging protocols, DePIN.
• Smart‑contract engineering, protocol security audits, formal verification frameworks.
• Knowledge of Real‑World Asset tokenization, stablecoin rails, tokenized deposits, and custody architectures in regulated environments.
