Investment Manager

About the role

The Mills Fabrica is a collaborative platform supporting sustainability-focused tech innovations in the techstyle and agrifood sectors, backed by a venture capital fund, business incubator, impact retail store and spaces in Hong Kong and London. It is looking for an Investment Manager to join its team and shape impactful venture investments.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing startup investment deals, including research and analysis of industries and startups, due diligence, financial modelling and valuation
• Driving investment deals from start to closing, such as meeting potential investees, drafting the investment memo, preparing documentation and presenting to the Investment Committee
• Managing portfolio companies and funds on a day-to-day basis
• Working with Finance, Tax, Audits, Company Secretary and other teams during deals and portfolio management
• Leading market research and analysis to support strategic initiatives, such as understanding the startup ecosystem and key players in Hong Kong
• Supporting the team with other ad-hoc duties

Required profile

• University graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Research or a related discipline
• 5-7 years of experience in a venture capital firm, investment fund, financial institution or buy-side is a plus; more experienced candidates may be considered for Senior Manager - Investment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong interest in venture capital and impact-led investments
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese

Required skills

• Good knowledge of financial modelling
• Data analytical skills (an advantage)
