IT Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the technology infrastructure of a boutique law firm in Hong Kong. The role combines hands‑on technical management with strategic planning to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT services that support legal and business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage networks, servers, storage, virtualization and cloud services, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, access controls, data protection, backup, recovery and incident response tailored to a legal environment.
• Provide end‑user support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and oversee endpoint device management.
• Administer practice management, document management, and collaboration tools.
• Handle vendor relationships, technology procurement, and coordinate external service providers.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, contribute to IT strategy, and lead technology projects that drive firm growth.

Required profile

• Strong background in IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization and cloud administration.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and incident response.
• Hands‑on expertise in end‑user support and IT operations.
• Familiarity with legal‑specific technology such as document and practice management systems.
• Vendor and project management capabilities.
• Relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of information security and data privacy regulations, preferably within professional services.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and effective communication skills.
