Key Account Manager – Asia Pacific

About the role

As a Key Account Manager for Lufthansa Cargo in the Asia Pacific region, you will build and nurture strategic relationships with global clients, delivering customised logistics solutions that drive growth. You will act as the primary contact for key customers, shaping the future of air freight through innovative service offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop strategic key customer relationships at regional and global levels.
• Identify new business opportunities and create long‑term growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Prepare and negotiate rate offers, RFQs, National Rate Agreements and incentive agreements.
• Analyse sales and customer data to uncover opportunities and improve performance.
• Provide sales support, consultancy and tailored solutions as the main customer contact.
• Represent the company at customer and industry events.
• Handle customer escalations, claims, complaints and business risks.
• Monitor KPIs and performance indicators, initiating corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional Key Account Managers to achieve business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Marketing or Logistics Management (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in airline, cargo, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Legal work permit for Singapore or Hong Kong.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent sales, negotiation and intercultural awareness.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
