Kindergarten Mainscale Teacher – ESF (Expressions of Interest)

About the role

The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is seeking enthusiastic early childhood educators to join its network of kindergarten schools for the 2026/2027 academic year. This expression of interest invites qualified candidates to indicate their willingness to teach 3‑5‑year‑old learners in a play‑based, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play‑based lessons that support social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom where children feel valued and encouraged to explore.
• Utilise a variety of teaching strategies, including hands‑on activities, storytelling and interactive play.
• Observe, document and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers about each child’s development.
• Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a postgraduate qualification in early childhood education.
• Qualified teacher registration with the Hong Kong Education Bureau (iPGCE alone is insufficient).
• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognised educational institute.

Required skills

• Ability to design and implement play‑based curricula.
• Strong observation and documentation skills.
• Effective communication with children, parents and colleagues.
