Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Compute & Storage)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design, deliver and optimise enterprise compute and storage platforms. The role involves managing virtualisation environments, ensuring high availability, and supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise compute and storage platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
• Administer virtualisation environments and underlying infrastructure.
• Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system optimisation.
• Implement infrastructure upgrades, patches, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
• Participate in infrastructure design, testing, and deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards.
• Support security, risk, and compliance requirements across infrastructure platforms.
• Participate in on‑call support and scheduled maintenance activities when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure administration and support.

Required skills

• Enterprise server platforms, virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix).
• Storage systems (SAN, NAS, Object Storage).
• Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Backup, monitoring, and infrastructure management tools.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, load balancing.
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools).
