Mainscale Class Teacher – Fixed Term (Nov 2026 – Jun 2027)

About the role

Clearwater Bay School, an IB World School in Hong Kong, is seeking a Mainscale Class Teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic term. The role runs from November 2026 to June 2027 and focuses on delivering the Primary Years Programme to a diverse group of students in years 1‑6.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet individual learning needs and align with IB philosophy.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, flexible groupings and structured inquiry to support student progression.
• Maintain a well‑organised, stimulating classroom environment and integrate technology to enhance learning.
• Assess student achievement, provide constructive feedback and report to parents or caregivers.
• Participate in professional development activities and contribute to school policies and initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support wider school functions such as student welfare, excursions and extracurricular programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a subject area with a PGCE or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation.
• Eligibility to work permanently in Hong Kong.

Required skills

• Proficiency in classroom management and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to incorporate educational technology into lessons.
