Mainscale Class Teacher – Temporary (Jan‑Oct 2027)

About the role

Quarry Bay School is seeking a full‑time Mainscale Class Teacher for a temporary assignment running from January to October 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing lessons that meet the individual learning needs of students and align with the International Baccalaureate (IBO) philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and sequence lesson plans that address diverse abilities and promote student progression.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies, classroom management techniques and flexible groupings.
• Integrate appropriate educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Assess student performance using multiple methods, provide constructive feedback to learners and communicate progress to parents or caregivers.
• Maintain an organised, stimulating classroom environment and ensure efficient completion of administrative tasks.
• Participate in professional development activities, contribute to school policies and collaborate with colleagues to support student outcomes.
• Potentially assist with school management functions, specialist programmes (e.g., sport, welfare, excursions) and supervise related student activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a subject area with a PGCE (or equivalent qualification).
• Relevant teaching experience in a recognised educational institution; early‑years experience is preferred.
• Permanent Hong Kong residency or a valid work visa for Hong Kong.
