Mainscale Class Teacher – Temporary (Oct 2026 – Jun 2027)

About the role

ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten is seeking a temporary Mainscale Class Teacher from October 2026 to June 2027. The role involves creating an inclusive, safe and inspiring learning environment for children aged 3‑5, delivering the IB Primary Years Programme through play‑based inquiry.

Key responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every child feels safe and respected.
• Design stimulating, play‑based learning environments that promote exploration, independence and creativity.
• Plan and implement transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry that honour children’s voice, choice and ownership.
• Facilitate purposeful play that supports experimentation, risk‑taking and social‑emotional growth.
• Use effective assessment strategies and pedagogical documentation to monitor progress and inform planning.
• Apply positive behaviour strategies and Universal Design for Learning principles to support all learners.
• Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication and parent conferences.
• Contribute to collaborative planning, whole‑school initiatives and professional learning communities.
