Maintenance Technician I (E&M)

About the role

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a Maintenance Technician I (E&M) to perform daily repairs and preventive maintenance across its facilities. The role requires strict adherence to health and safety standards while delivering high‑quality, efficient work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily repairs and maintenance tasks in line with health and safety procedures.
• Complete work orders according to Club policies, departmental procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Report discrepancies, unresolved problems, or new engineering issues to supervisors promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities, ensuring necessary tools and materials are available.
• Monitor and report on vendor and contractor performance to ensure compliance with Club standards.
• Read and interpret technical publications and work orders for in‑depth repairs.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by senior staff to meet operational needs.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship or certificate in an engineering trade (mechanical, electrical, electronics, plant mechanic, civil work).
• Holder of a Registered Electrical Worker License (Grade A or above).
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in maintenance or engineering.
