Manager, Child Care Home

About the role

Mother’s Choice is seeking a dedicated Manager to lead the daily operations of its Child Care Home in Hong Kong. The role combines operational oversight, regulatory compliance, and strategic support for early‑intervention and training programmes, ensuring trauma‑informed, child‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all day‑to‑day activities of the Child Care Home, guaranteeing safety, regulatory compliance and high‑quality, trauma‑informed care.
• Serve as the primary contact for operational matters, including staff management, resident welfare, visitor hospitality and service delivery.
• Support the Director in advancing strategic and programmatic goals for Early Intervention Services, Family Academy and Community Education.
• Track key performance indicators, contribute to quarterly reporting and collaborate with IT/data teams to maintain service‑tracking systems.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff, fostering a collaborative, mission‑driven team culture.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders, coordinate volunteer recruitment and ensure integrated service delivery.
• Oversee compliance with the Social Welfare Department, manage budgets and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, nonprofit management or related field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a management capacity.
• Strong leadership, organisational, problem‑solving and crisis‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Demonstrated commitment to child protection, ethical practice and continuous learning.
