About the role
The Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs will shape and execute communication strategies that raise the profile of the organisation and Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem. You will support senior leadership with high‑impact messaging and partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver media events and promote tech ventures.
Key responsibilities
- Formulate and implement corporate communications and public affairs strategies for local and overseas audiences.
- Manage executive communications, including drafting speeches, talking points, and high‑quality write‑ups for senior leaders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to organise media engagement events that showcase the corporation and Hong Kong’s I&T ecosystem.
- Work closely with tech ventures and startups in Hong Kong Science Park to promote their innovations and enhance ecosystem visibility.
- Develop integrated communications plans covering stakeholder engagement, reputation management, issue handling, and media relations.
- Create and edit corporate literature, press releases, speeches, interview messaging, and presentation materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with media and key ecosystem stakeholders, handle enquiries, and monitor public sentiment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Translation, Business or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years of communications experience, preferably in multinational or large technology companies (candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager role).
- Proven ability to organise large‑scale publicity and promotion programmes.
- Regional exposure and a network with overseas media is an advantage.
- Passion for tech startups, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, dynamic, team‑oriented, and fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
