Marketing Graphics Designer

About the role

SCMP is seeking a detail‑oriented Marketing Graphics Designer to join its Operations team in Advertising and Marketing Solutions. You will turn client concepts into print‑ready and digital‑ready layouts, ensuring every newspaper ad and collateral meets strict production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, adjust, and finalize newspaper and print media layouts following strict grid systems and publisher specifications.
• Resize, re‑format, and touch up artwork for multi‑platform dimensions, handling bleed, crop marks, colour profiles and resolution.
• Manage a high volume of daily design requests, meeting tight deadlines with zero tolerance for formatting errors.
• Perform technical pre‑flight quality checks on artwork files and maintain organized digital asset libraries.
• Collaborate with project, sales and production teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve layout discrepancies quickly.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud – Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office for basic layout cross‑overs and administrative tasks.
• Minimum three years of experience in graphic design, print production, ad operations or publishing.
• Strong understanding of print production processes, colour modes, image resolutions and typography.
• Ability to work efficiently under non‑negotiable print deadlines and communicate clearly with team members.
