Officer / Assistant Officer – Laboratory Supplies (HS&E)

About the role

The Health, Safety and Environment Office is looking for a professional to support the University’s safety policies, focusing on Dangerous Goods compliance and routine procurement of laboratory chemicals and consumables.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with hazardous material regulations.
• Manage the University Central Dangerous Goods stores and warehouse.
• Maintain accurate documentation for the Center for Laboratory Supplies.
• Assist in developing systems for hazardous material management.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on accounting and licensing matters.

Required profile

• A relevant science degree with at least three years of post‑qualification experience in a tertiary institution, or equivalent HKDSE/HKCEE qualifications with 15 years of similar experience.
• Experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably with laboratory consumables.
• Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
