Paralegal – PRC Law Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Paralegal to support our legal team in cross‑border transactions, corporate compliance, and daily legal operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in PRC law and be able to work fluently in both English and Chinese.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research on PRC laws, regulations, and local policies, and monitor legislative changes.
• Draft, review, and proofread commercial contracts, corporate resolutions, NDAs, and legal memoranda in English and Chinese.
• Assist in establishing, maintaining, and restructuring PRC entities, including corporate filings, chops, and licenses.
• Serve as the liaison between the internal legal team, business units, and external Mainland Chinese counsel or government authorities.
• Maintain physical and electronic legal files, databases, and document‑management systems.
• Support legalization/notarization processes, coordinate meetings, prepare execution copies of agreements, and handle ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a law degree from a mainland Chinese university is preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm or multinational in‑house legal department.
• Strong understanding of the PRC legal system, especially corporate/commercial, employment, foreign investment, or IP law.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using legal research databases.
