Post‑doctoral Fellow – Biomedical Instrumentation Research

About the role

We are seeking a Post‑doctoral Fellow to join innovative research projects in screening tests, personalized companion diagnostics, strategic therapeutics, and advanced medical device components at Hong Kong Science Park. The role involves translating research outcomes into commercially viable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project prospecting with collaborators and technology partners, and manage follow‑up actions.
• Provide technical solutions for ongoing R&D projects.
• Translate research outcomes into real use cases and commercially viable applications.
• Write project reports, prepare publications, presentations, and patent filings, and deliver technical pitches to collaborators and partners.
• Handle other relevant tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• PhD degree in Applied Biology, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Research experience in screening tests, personalized companion diagnostics, strategic therapeutics, or advanced medical device components is preferred.
• Strong passion for applied research in biomedical instrumentation.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with clear and concise writing skills.
• Good time‑management, strong sense of responsibility and research ethics.
• Mature, self‑motivated, confident and able to work under pressure.
