Power BI & Databricks AI/BI Engineer

About the role

The role focuses on designing and delivering enterprise‑grade BI solutions using Power BI and Databricks. You will create self‑service analytics, ensure data security, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise dashboards with Power BI and Databricks AI/BI tools.
• Create, configure, and optimise Databricks Genie Agents, including instructions, semantic metadata, sample SQL queries and benchmark testing.
• Build scalable Power BI semantic models, advanced DAX measures and governed dimensional models across reporting tools.
• Implement row‑level security, column masks and row filters while optimising SQL queries for high performance.
• Partner with finance, customer and other business teams to translate requirements into intuitive self‑service data products.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in BI, analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Advanced Power BI expertise covering DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, security and workspace administration.
• Practical experience with Databricks SQL and managing Databricks Genie Agents/Spaces.
• Expert‑level SQL skills, dimensional modelling (star schemas, fact/dimension tables) and strong data‑governance knowledge.
• Based in Hong Kong with strong written and spoken English.
