Principal Consultant – Insurance Transformation

About the role

Capco is expanding its Insurance practice in Hong Kong and seeks a Principal Consultant to lead large‑scale transformation programmes for Life, Health and General Insurance clients across APAC. You will work directly with senior insurance leaders to redesign operating models, modernise underwriting and claims processes, and embed digital, automation and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end transformation programmes for insurance clients throughout Hong Kong and the wider APAC region.
• Design future‑state operating models, process improvements and enhanced customer, underwriting and claims journeys.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders such as COOs, Heads of Claims, Heads of Underwriting and Transformation Executives to translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams that include consulting, technology, data and third‑party vendors to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Contribute to business development, market proposition creation and thought‑leadership activities to grow Capco’s insurance capability.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of experience in consulting, insurance operations, underwriting, claims or related transformation roles.
• Deep understanding of insurance operating models, process optimisation and regulated environments.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale transformation programmes in the insurance sector.
• Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders and convert strategic objectives into practical delivery plans.
• Professional fluency in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with digital, automation, workflow or AI‑enabled transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of life, health and general insurance domains.
• Ability to lead consulting propositions and mentor junior consultants.
