Private Home Tutor / Early Years English Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an experienced early‑years educator to join a private family as a Home Tutor and Early Years English Teacher for a child aged 0‑6. This full‑time position offers the chance to shape a young child's development in a warm, one‑on‑one setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a play‑based, developmentally appropriate English learning programme.
• Support language, cognitive, social‑emotional and physical development.
• Manage daily routines such as meals, naps, outings and schedules.
• Track developmental milestones and communicate progress to the family and schools.
• Coordinate educational resources and act as liaison between family and school.
• Travel domestically and internationally with the family as needed.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing home learning environment.

Required profile

• Native or native‑level English speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Background in early childhood education, preferably with international kindergarten experience.
• Relevant qualification (e.g., Early Childhood Education, PGCE/QTS, Montessori, IB PYP, Waldorf).
• 3‑5+ years hands‑on experience with children aged 0‑6.
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Clean criminal record/background check.
• Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Warm, patient, discreet and able to work autonomously.
