Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support the hotel’s purchasing function, ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services for the Kowloon Shangri‑La property in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Handle purchase requests from business units and manage the full purchasing cycle to meet business needs.
• Prepare documentation such as price comparisons, tenders and market price surveys.
• Coordinate product specifications with user departments.
• Conduct supplier interviews, obtain quotations and negotiate to achieve the best terms for the hotel.
• Follow up outstanding orders to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Maintain and update a library of catalogues, samples and price lists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a sizable organization, preferably within the hotel industry.
• Experience with tender processes and preparation of tender documents is an advantage.
• Proactive, mature and self‑confident with good business acumen.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of procurement systems.
