Product Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Product Development Manager to own end‑to‑end product creation for our five consumer brands, acting as the bridge between European brand teams and the Chinese supply base. The role is remote‑first, based in Shenzhen or Hong Kong, with regular travel to factories and trade fairs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify market opportunities and define product concepts aligned with brand strategy.
• Develop specifications, samples, materials and packaging; manage cost and quality targets.
• Own unit economics (landed cost, margin, pricing) from concept through volume production.
• Pitch new products to sales, secure launch approval and monitor commercial performance.
• Manage timelines, quality control and supplier relationships to ensure repeatable production.
• Travel to Chinese manufacturing partners and industry trade fairs as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing physical consumer products, preferably with China‑based manufacturing.
• Commercial mindset with ability to build and defend product economics.
• Hands‑on sourcing ability and comfort negotiating with suppliers.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to influence cross‑functional teams.
