Product Manager - Live Operations

About the role

Chaos Theory works at the intersection of sports, entertainment and cryptocurrency, and is looking for a Product Manager for Live Operations. The role balances immediate execution with long-term scaling, working with engineering and analytics to build the permanent versions of short-term solutions so that competitive systems and ranked matchmaking infrastructure can scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own the live ops calendar: build and maintain a rhythm of seasonal events, tools and community engagement processes.
• Write and oversee the execution of rigorous engineering specifications and platform requirements.
• Ship immediate solutions while designing the scalable architecture for skill-based play and progression systems.
• Reduce friction between publishing partners and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Analyze market trends and advise leadership on changes to the competitive strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience running multiple live service content cycles in the AAA or indie gaming industry.
• Ability to write technical specs for engineers and understand platform architecture deeply.
• Experience guiding demanding stakeholders across engineering, analytics and leadership.
• Experience building structures, rhythms and technical tools from scratch in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with major international gaming markets and global product cycles.
• Background in fast-moving, large-scale digital products or consumer-facing platforms.
• History of re-engineering existing systems to be larger, more robust and more automated.

The role is remote. The team is mostly based in Europe and Asia, but location is not a dealbreaker for the right technical talent.
