Production Support Engineer

About the role

Millennium’s Application Support Production Engineering team provides Level 2/3 support for front‑office and middle‑office trading applications across all asset classes. The role focuses on troubleshooting technical trading issues, automating support processes, and ensuring reliable platform operation for execution services.

Key responsibilities

• Solve technical trading‑related issues and coordinate escalations with application and infrastructure experts.
• Communicate status and updates to trading staff, especially the execution services team.
• Collaborate with global support engineers to provide seamless coverage across regions.
• Maintain and improve environment management tools to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
• Automate processes, document solutions, and contribute to a knowledge‑base for trading issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting Linux‑based systems in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with traders and technical teams.
• Detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple simultaneous projects.

Required skills

• Linux operating system.
• Shell scripting (bash), Python, and SQL.
• FIX protocol knowledge.
• Version control (Git preferred).
• Understanding of SDLC processes.
• Experience with columnar databases such as KDB (a plus).
• Familiarity with AWS (a plus).
