Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor – Creative Industries

About the role

Lingnan University’s Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries is seeking candidates for a tenure‑track position at the level of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in Creative Industries. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising capstone projects, and contributing to the department’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a wide range of subjects including animation, digital arts, immersive media, film and media studies, art history and curation, and supervise student projects.
• Publish high‑quality research outputs to enhance the department’s scholarly productivity.
• Secure competitive research grants from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council or other external funding bodies.
• Recruit and mentor PhD candidates as well as advise undergraduate students.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.

Required profile

• PhD in art history, media studies, creative arts or a related field.
• For Professor/Associate Professor: minimum six years of full‑time academic experience with a strong record of top‑tier journal publications, monographs, and competitive grant acquisition.
• For Assistant Professor: demonstrated record of high‑quality publications, competitive grants, and some teaching or curriculum development experience.
• Evidence of leadership in curriculum development, knowledge transfer, or community engagement is desirable.
