Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor – Finance

About the role

The Department of Finance at Hong Kong Chu Hai College seeks qualified candidates for Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor positions. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate finance programmes, conducting high‑impact research, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and seminars at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including professional programmes.
• Design and implement innovative pedagogical activities and learning resources such as case studies, simulations and technology‑enhanced tools.
• Participate in course, programme and curriculum review to ensure alignment with industry practices.
• Support programme accreditation processes (e.g., LPA, re‑LPA) and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and maintain academic records.
• Conduct research in finance, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, present at conferences and pursue external research funding.
• Engage in collaborative projects with academic, industry and professional partners.
• Contribute to departmental governance, attend academic meetings and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• PhD degree in finance or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience with effective pedagogical approaches in finance education.
• Strong publication record in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed outlets.
• Commitment to student development and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) – preferred.
• FRM (Financial Risk Manager) – preferred.
