Professoriate Recruitment – Faculty of Medicine (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

The University of Hong Kong invites outstanding scholars to join its Faculty of Medicine as assistant, associate or full professors. Positions are offered on a tenure‑track basis or with direct tenure, covering a broad range of emerging biomedical fields.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead independent research programmes in strategic areas such as structural, synthetic and computational biology, stem cell and regenerative medicine, cancer biology, emerging infectious diseases, and global health.
• Secure external research funding and foster collaborations locally, regionally and internationally.
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise graduate students, and contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in departmental and university service, including committees and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Outstanding academic record with a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant biomedical discipline.
• Demonstrated potential for scientific breakthroughs and a strong publication record.
• Experience in securing research grants and leading research teams.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and mentorship.
