Project Engineer

About the role

The Airport Authority Hong Kong is seeking a Project Engineer to support the design, management and site supervision of electrical and mechanical (E&M) works at Hong Kong International Airport. This fixed‑term position offers the chance to work on critical infrastructure projects in a dynamic aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance in design management and site supervision of E&M works.
• Ensure consultants' and contractors' proposals and works are technically sound and safe.
• Coordinate interfaces related to E&M works.
• Review submissions and technical reports.
• Monitor statutory submissions of design works.
• Support site supervision teams by responding to RFIs and preparing design change documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field.
• Minimum 6 years relevant experience, including at least 3 years in project management.
• Member of HKIE or equivalent professional body.
• Experience managing infrastructure/building E&M systems design, planning, construction and site supervision.
• Preferable experience with airport E&M works, especially smoke extraction systems.
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with project management software tools.
